Round-table in the Szigetköz region (HU NBS)
In the framework of trans4num, the Hungarian project partner Pisztráng Kör Association (PKA), in cooperation with the Széchenyi István University (SZE), organised a round table discussion with local farmers, researchers and project partners beginning of April. The topic was the applicability of nature-based solutions (NBS) in the agriculture of the Szigetköz region.
The lively roundtable discussion was the opening event of a series of events, which, despite being a first, attracted many people interested in "green" solutions.
On behalf of the host, Zoltán Fűzfa welcomed the participants, followed by a discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of introducing nature-based solutions, moderated by Dr András Vér.
Mihály Lajos, a farmer-researcher, and Gábor Jenőffy, a farmer-teacher, were the main dialogue partners of the first session, presenting the practical aspects of the topic from their own perspectives.
The success of the event is demonstrated by the fact that the spontaneous lively discussion made it much longer than originally planned and participants have already indicated their intention to attend the next event scheduled for 18 April.
