From Evidence to Implementation: Transitioning to Zero Pollution Agriculture in Europe

12 November 2026 | Brussels

Over the past four years, the trans4num project (https://trans4num.eu/en/) has been working across Europe and with partners in China to explore how a diverse range of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), including approaches rooted in agroecology and regenerative agriculture, can contribute to more sustainable and circular nutrient management.

As the project reaches its conclusion, you are INVITED to our final policy event, together with policymakers, researchers, farmer organisations, and other key stakeholder organisations, to explore how our scientific evidence and practical experience can be translated into effective and scalable policy action.

The event will be structured around three key questions :

  • Nature-based Solutions (NBS) – what works, where and under what conditions?
  • Working across farms and landscapes – how to progress from individual action to coordinated nutrient management?
  • Making NBS a viable choice – who pays, who benefits, and how to create a market at food system level?

The meeting will conclude with a panel discussion on actions to progress from scientific evidence to implementable policy choices.

More details about the event and the programme can be viewed on the document below:
