trans4num - online general assembly

The overall objective of trans4num is to substantiate and broadly promote nature-based solutions (NBS) innovations for sustainable agriculture in Europe and China. To realise its objective, trans4num will use a social-ecological transformation (SET) framework tailored to study 20 NBS farm-level innovations in 7 regions with intensive farming systems: 4 in Europe (Denmark, Hungary, Netherlands and United Kingdom) and 3 in China.

On March 7, trans4num EU consortium meet online for the first 2024 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲.

The General Assembly sessions were organised carefully to allow the partners to share updates from the work carried out and to plan for the year ahead.

Main topics of discussion referred to:

• the scientific work carried out for the development of a decision support system (DSS) for optimum nutrient supply at farm, regional and watershed level (WP3),
• the design and implementation of Hackathons
• updates from the four European NBS Sites (DK, HU, NL and UK), as well as trans4num transformation pathways and
• strengthening the on-going collaboration and cooperation with trans4num China project.

The next General Assembly will be will be hosted by our partners from Rothamsted Research in June 2024 when all project partners will be visiting the UK NBS site.
