Advancing Transformative Pathways in Sustainable Agriculture
From 16–18 June 2025, the trans4num consortium gathered at Aarhus University’s Viborg campus for its annual General Assembly, bringing together partners from across Europe and China to reflect on progress and co-design the next steps toward more sustainable and circular nutrient management.
The two-day meeting marked a key moment to:
- Review status updates from all NBS sites
- Sketch transformation pathways grounded in site-specific realities
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement strategies
- Advance the development and integration of the Decision Support Tool (DST), Agent-Based Model (ABM), and Food System Model (FSM)
- Prepare for the trans4num Hackathon 2026 and upcoming cross-project clustering events
A highlight of the event was an intensive co-creation session titled “From Insights to Action”, where participants transformed field-based findings into actionable transformation narratives.
Discussions also focused on designing multi-level interfaces between science, local engagement, and model-based policy support.
Participants explored real-world applications during a site excursion to BioBase 2025 and the CBIO biorefining plant, offering inspiration on perennial systems and nature-based solutions in practice.
The Assembly concluded with renewed momentum for international cooperation, including joint publications, policy contributions, and a strong EU–China collaboration track.
Stay tuned for future updates for the 2026 Hackathon and regional stakeholder engagement.
